I had some funk on my jeans and didn't notice. I was on the metro. Was very embarrassing.

I have not been very "photographically inclined" for about a month now. It might have something to do with the fact that is raining all the time and dark outside when I am not at work. I guess I should just shift gears and start doing club pics or something.

Maybe we're just suffering from SAD since the clocks changed.

I hadn't really thought about it that way, but yeah, I haven't felt like I've taken an inspired shot in quite a while (arguably ever, but that a different thread ). I need to get out in a new environment, but circumstances have kept me at home of late.

Here in Vancouver USA the sun comes up a little before 7:00 AM and goes down at about 4:30 PM. Right now it is about 40 F and raining. Grim, I tell ya...Grim...

I had a few hours to myself over last weekend and forced myself to go out and take a few shots. I haven't done it while and I know with the holidays coming up my spare time is going to be very limited. It was very relaxing, I didn't have an agenda. I just took some shots of things I found interesting. Some people go to spas, I go take pictures (when I can).

I find this time of year the hardest to get out and shoot.

It's dark when I go to work, and it's dark when I get home. The weekends are often grey and raining.

So yup. I too am in the funk.

To all you folks having daylight shortage problems, may I suggest, come down to Aussie, we've all the daylight you want at the moment.
(and to think, with a rather busy schedule, I am still not getting out there and taking the number of shots I could (or should)

Sorry as an Aussie who speaks fluent Aussie slang only. the 'funk' bit goes straight over my head???
If it means a break, in Aussie we might say a 'smoko'

"In a rut" as those who would choose such a euphemism might possibly utilize lol

I'm definitely there. 30 degree weather...snow...clouds...wind...etc. F that, I'm staying inside. Even though I was born n raised in a climate that goes from -35 to 95...after shoveling, cleaning off the car, waiting for it to warm up, etc etc etc I've had enough of being outside for the day.

And inside is always macros and/or off-camera flash. Meh.
