Interesting Ideas - a little more light would be nice, the images are just too dark to make anything out.

Besides, I don't think that the majority of people on this site have any idea what a vacum tube is - or what it would be used for. As for the concept - nicely done - if this were the mid 60's everything is solid state now. May some printed circuit boards and IC's with a few USB ports added in. Discrete tubes and capacitors is so last century.

I do like the images thought - even if they appear dated to my eye.

I love the idea. Can you get the tubes to light up?

I think I could try and light the tubes with a led at the base of the tube, but the amount o work...
I know tech speaking the tubes are outdated, but i think the give a nice cold mood to the whole image. Right now im building a mask for the model..

The first ones were so dark I didn't really react to them one way or the other. The face mask, though, is GREAT!

Looks like something that Terry Gilliam would have dreamed up. A retro (1984) Robocop?

Love it

Actually the last two remind me of what my optomotrist used to use to check my eyes with. Novel Idea but agree with first comment that few people recognise tubes and their use.

It's like a cross between Star Treks' Borg folk and the Matrix.

I was thinking more along the lines of "Mad Max" meets "Robot Chicken" instead. Of course, the fact that those were the first things in my mind speaks volumes...

The goggles look ready to assimilate all into the ways of the Borg. Soon the hive mind will take over the world with everyone only able to see via Pentax lenses.

Tubes? Who doesn't know what valves are?

I think lighting for the first ones would be best done not with any traditional photographic lighting, but with LEDs placed in the tubes, as you said.

Light it organically - naturally - with the ambient light from the LEDs.

Make sure you whack a potentiometer inline with 'em so you can vary the output!
