I was watching this, but not closely because I thought it would go for big bucks...Brand New Pentax Professional camera - eBay (item 280296287078 end time Dec-23-08 18:39:40 PST).

Guess I should have put in a bid .

It sure is. That is a classic case of a very crappy title that didn't search well.

Wow! And with the 16-45 instead of the regular kit. Like cupic says, let's hope it gets shipped. I'm pretty sure the '0' history explains the low price...

That is a classic case of someone getting SCAMMED!! I'd bet a months salasry that the seller didnt take that picture... he just found it on the net and listed it as such.

I am with Cupic and Buddha...something is fishy. I hope the buyer does not get screwed. The item picture appears to be a stock illustration, not a photograph of the actual item.

I Googled Pentax 19381(part number from the auction), and it appears to be the item number for the body only. +the stock photo doesn't look good...

The item picture is straight from pentaxwebstore.com

Ditto for the "parts list"...

"Danger! Danger, Will Robinson!"

I actually looked at that offer - but didn't bite :ugh:
  1. Still in "Buying Moratorium" unless there is actual cash in the PayPaul account from a prior sale
  2. Obvious stock image - didn't even need to check
  3. Obvious cut and paste of item spec's
    1. it is possible that the ebay item pic and database you can pre-fill item photo and spec's from is incorrect
  4. "0" prior feedback - brand new seller
  5. I hate to wait on CanadaPost
Reading that the item number is for body only confirms my suspicions - this is a rip off.

Yes, somebody scored... Whether it's the buyer or the seller who scored is unknown to us.

Seller has zero feed back and been a member since last week. I wonder if he'll list a bridge in Brooklyn next...

According to Hellboy II, the Troll Market is under the Brooklyn Bridge, I wonder if that will be included?

I'm curious to see what the feedback looks like on this one. Let's wait a couple of weeks and see what happens.
