Transparencies

Who out there has a portfolio? Did you build with transparencies, prints, slides or what? I am reading up and am just curious what the modern standard is. Also, is it possible to get transparencies from a digital image? Is it something you can do yourself or must you outsource? I am really curious as to how all of this works. I am just a hobbyist but would like to learn more about the pro side of things. Thanks.

Modern portfolios are usually a website/online, hard copies can be made if you need to visit those behind the times.

Before shifting to LCD projectors and monitors, we used to transfer text material to 35mm transparencies using a POLAROID CI-5000S and PowerPoint. I haven't done that in over 8 years however. Prior to that, we used a Diazo Blue method.

Anyway with digital photos, you could insert them in to PowerPoint and transfer them with Polaroid CI-5000S or similar piece of equipment. You will then take your slide film to the lab to be developed and mounted.

Why not use PowerPoint for your Portfolio and an LCD projector?

Edit: I failed to mention that these devices like the CI-5000S have a 35mm camera body attached.

I really have no idea about this. I was just putting my feelers out to see if I could learn anything about it.
