I have heard that in it's prime, the K1000 (35mm) was the most recommended camera for teaching beginning photography students how to shoot. Hope Pentax can do it again with their digital versions as well

My class has bout 15 people in it, 10 have P&S and 1 has a Canon DSLR (The Teacher) 2 have Nikons DSLR, and 3 of us have Pentax DSLR (IST* K100d , K20d)

I'm going to the NYS convention in March, and I am going to be counting how many Pentax bodies I see.

I'll take all three of mine just to pad the numbers a bit
