Pentax K10d / Optio A40 / A36 have Color bug drop down Problem !

K10d / Optio A36/A40 have color bug, some Color drop down Problem !

when take photo color has deep green; deep brown even at night shot!

the deep green; deep brown will get without color,drop down and collapse to black & white
(especial photo at the dim part)

the problem include Optio A40/A36 & Optio S12

hope Pentax Co.may issue new firmware fix it soon.

at the bottom of the color well it is only black, and every color, blue green, brown, red, purple, in the absence of light will be black.

k10d same symptom but slight.

I dont have Optio A40 and my question is why you need f/2.8 iso 800 and shutter speed/exposure 1/80. To me dont aspect to much from f/2.8 coz you wouldn't get the details.
On picture 2 what do aspect when you are using flash at f/2.8 and you set it to low saturation.
On the 3rd picture i cannot say anything because i cannot find the details except for image dimensions, resolutions and file size of 66.8 KB

Anyone can tell me about compressed bits/pixel on Optio A40.

Let me guess the car in the last photo was bright red, and the defective buggy K10D changed the colour to black? Your buddies canikon gets the colour right?

I have an A40 as well, I never have an issue to the problem mentioned, in fact the colors are outstanding. As for the K10, this is the 1st time I see this kind of problem in the forum. While I don't have the K10, I do have the K100 and the K20 and both of them handle the green color very well.

Have had a K10D for almost two years. Never had a problem. Just the opposite. Colors are great. That's why I chose the Pentax over the Nikon.

Ms. Coulter...fire for effect.
