"best" service?

I see only one US factory service center (in Colorado) listed on the Pentax site. Assuming the camera is out of warranty, what's the general experience... that you can get better service directly through the Pentax center (they fix it right the first time) at a competitive price, or, that it's better to find a local "authorized" shop?

Brian, if you use the Pentax Service Center in CO, use expedited service. It's worth the extra $40 if you want a fast turnaround. Their prices are very fair, IMO. Others may have a different experience - mine was quite good.

Thanks, Marc. How "expedited" is that, two weeks instead of six or something like that?

Even better: 10 days maximum using expedited service. They ship it back via 2 day...
