However, I really sometimes don't like modern times. It is ever more about self-marketing than anything else, i.e., who creates the larger internet community rather than who is the better performer. And no, the two are not closely related. Who is busy to perform typically hasn't the time to hang out on the Web 2.0...

Rank 61 with a Pentax community (rather than a Canikon one) is quite an achievement. I wished the first "66" would go to the judges, though

Everyone: thank you so much for taking the time to vote and show your support. To nearly make it into the top 50 in such short order shows that the PF community spirit is doing well...

I agree about it being an unfortunate situation: more of who is the best self-marketer than possibly the best candidates for the project.
