A Photo by my 13 Year Old Daughter

Here is a letter I sent to LUMAS Galleries, not stating it was my daughter to influence their decision. Was sent to the Gallery Director for 14 Galleries world wide...We shall see what will happen. Shot on a 10 mega pixel Pentax Compact Camera.

Dear Heike;

This image is by Lewanna KANAREK. I think it is incredible and pure and captures childlike wonderment perfectly. I can get you the High Def File.

What do you think...I would love to see a Limited Edition of this for Lumas Galleries!

Thanks
Ben :-)

Very nice placement -- towards the top point of the triangle made by the two trails. I also like the way the red pops against the green. A great picture even if she doesn't make the gallery.

Love the colors and composition of the shot!! Truly a hereditary talent! That pick could be used as a poster for the movie "Bridge to Terebithia" is they make a second part.

I read your comments to my daughter and she was so encouraged by all of your kind words. It means a lot to her.

Thanks
Ben

Very impressive! She has some talent there! You ever let her use the big toys? I wonder what she can do with a K20 and a 50-135...

I let her do a photo shoot once with the K10D and the 16-45 with her friends. Pretty surprising. I set up the studio lights i.e. Flash System. Showed her a couple things on the camera and let her loose. Her friends all rotated taking turns using the camera. I set up a back drop and just let them play. It was awesome.

Ben, tell Lewanna from me, she did a great job.
It would make an excellent book cover shot.
