Sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do, there. (I'm pretty priced-out of buying big stuff retail, if I can even get there, personally. As long as you're just friendly and considerate, (try showing up at a 'dead time,' and yield to like the bewildered shoppers) and do your best to support your local retailers with what you *can* buy, it's usually not something most salesclerks will mind. May not get a sales bonus, but it can be kind of a break, actually, talking to someone who knows what they're doing.
I actually got my K20d sight-unseen, but I'd had a chance to handle a K200d briefly somewhere, (fellow in the store seemed to have a good time about it,
) and that convinced me I was probably OK: if they could make the littler one with handling I liked, I was pretty confident they could make something nice that was a little bigger, too. Was a slightly anxious wait, though.
