Sold off the last of my M42 Pentax kit about 18 years ago when I switched over to Olympus. What I most regret now letting go of is the 85 1.8 S-M-C. Saw it recently. Likely hasn't seen the light of day since I sold it. Significant fungus.
Makes one want to scream.

Otherwise, I still have my 1969 Asahi Spotmatic and thee Takumar primes. Not that they see any use (pre-SMC)
God knows pre-SMC Takumars are now useless for taking photos

That's the funniest thing I've read in a long time. Firs, see what they can do on digital on a lens by lens basis. Secondly, there is no rule that says you can't shoot film.

I've bought many cameras since '68 and as of yet have never sold one.

Only one I ever sold was a Super Program

I didn't regret it, however, since I sold it after I bought my first LX. Once I used the LX, I no longer wanted to shoot with the Super Program, so I sold it to a friend who only had a god awful A3000, and replaced it with a second LX. Still have my K1000 (my first SLR) and will probably never part with that.
