Good luck Bob with your enterprise. It's great to see how the idea was planted and has developed since you first posted here over 4 years ago.

This Forum was the Beginning

Thanks Dan,
This forum and the fantastic response to my posts is what drove me to get involved in the book project to begin with. Had it not been for the huge response here and the questions posed here, it would never have started.

I traveled to Ohio because my sister lives in Wilmington, just a short drive from there. My buddies who are also working on this project drove to Dayton so we could meet up. It was the first time in about 45 years that we'd been together. I'll keep everyone updated as we move forward. My co-author (Dan Brookes) forwarded and e-mail he'd received from our agent that indicates he already has a publisher (Stackpole Books) has expressed and interest in publishing our work.
Just so ya'll know ..... this project would NEVER have gotten off the ground (as far as I'm involved) had it not been for the overwhelming response to this forum .......... THANKS GUYS!

Hillerby was in a motorcycle accident October 4, and didn't make it. Will post more when I'm not on my phone.

Thanks to everyone for taking a interest in Bob's original posts. I stumbled on this forum some time ago while looking for info on my old unit, which happened to be the same as Bob's. He got there about 6 months before I did, and we worked out of different locations, but I wouldn't have made contact with him if I hadn't found him on this forum.

I got an email from his co author, Dan, a week ago with the bad news, and couldn't believe it. It was a sad day. Here are a couple of links about him. I hope they works for you.

Thanks again
