There's only one prototype and it was owned by the head engineer - Saucy Jack. He was quite an intimidating man - he had an armadillo in his trousers. The camera never made it to production though - apparently every other frame it took was black. The black frames were quite striking actually - it made the other engineers ponder "How much blacker can they get?" and the answer was - "None, none more black."

(I could do this all day :-))

It plays music during the slideshow function - the song it plays - "Lick me love pump"... It's a cross between Mozart and Bach... a Mach piece really. Be careful not to vomit, choke, and die when you hear it though, authorities might think you actually choked of someone else's vomit and they can't really dust for vomit.

Well, it's code name under development was "Shark Sandwich" and it only had one preliminary review.... it was only two words - "Sh!t Sandwich"...

I recently came across a Pentax K11D previously owned by Michael Mckean of Spinal Tap. It appears to be identical to a K10D, but it goes to 11.
11 is nice...but if it were truly the answer it would go to 42, yes? The K42D is the answer to the universe and everything right?

Teaser for the clueless..... ;)

This Is Spinal Tap (1984) - Memorable quotes

Nigel Tufnel: The numbers all go to eleven. Look, right across the board, eleven, eleven, eleven and...
Marty DiBergi: Oh, I see. And most amps go up to ten?
Nigel Tufnel: Exactly.
Marty DiBergi: Does that mean it's louder? Is it any louder?
Nigel Tufnel: Well, it's one louder, isn't it? It's not ten. You see, most blokes, you know, will be playing at ten. You're on ten here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up, you're on ten on your guitar. Where can you go from there? Where?
Marty DiBergi: I don't know.
Nigel Tufnel: Nowhere. Exactly. What we do is, if we need that extra push over the cliff, you know what we do?
Marty DiBergi: Put it up to eleven.
Nigel Tufnel: Eleven. Exactly. One louder.
Marty DiBergi: Why don't you just make ten louder and make ten be the top number and make that a little louder?
Nigel Tufnel: [pause] These go to eleven.
