Any pros using Pentax?

Hi!

I was just wondering if you know of any pros using Pentax gear, and if you have links to their websites/galleries. I have checked those at pentaxian.com

Ben (benjikan) here on the forums is a pro using Pentax, and I think there are a few more.

Sure there are a lot on this forum, but there are even more out there shooting (AKA aren't on this forum), although most Pentax "pros" use film or medium format.

Medium format isn't film?

Soon as my web-savvy son finishes taking the bar exam over the next two days, I'm going to get him to design a site for me. I'm going to be taking pics, for which I'll charge, of 11-yr-old fastpitch tournament softball, so I guess that makes me a pro. I'll be using the new K20 and Sigma 70-200 2.8 for most of the work.

Have a defective 28-300 Tamron that's served me well, but it's back to Tamron today for some warranty repair work.

Here's a pretty decent pic that I took of Stafford handing off to Moreno in the 2007 GA/Ole Miss game. Was pretty high up, using the IstDs2 with the Tamron 28-300 lens.

I strolled over to the 42 st. area in New York City late last night. There are plenty of pros walking the streets down there. Most of them seem never to have heard of Pentax.

Maybe they aren't really pros, as pros would usually be knowledgeable about cameras and different brands and lenses.
I think it goes with the territory to know all the equipment and not just the one you are using as you might be missing out on other great equipment.

Yeah, but did you actually talk to them? Maybe spend an hour or so with them and maybe learn some new techniques?

Aren't we primarily talking about U.S. users? What kind of idiots send Hillary Clinton to represent them in the U.S. Senate?

Pro photographers who never heard of Pentax would be like... pro mechanics that never heard of a Weber carburetor. While it's remotely possible, I'd simply say, 'If you have never heard of a pentax in this business, you haven't heard of much.'

Maybe really more like they never heard of a Plymouth, come to think of it.
