Aussie wanting to buy a 60-250 from Adorama...

I've been wanting to buy the 60-250 for a while, but it seems that the Aussie prices are quite a rip off ($2900 [DCW] vs $1500 [Adorama]). So, I was wondering whether there were any caveats for purchasing an expensive lens from Adorama. I'm mostly concerned with damage in transit, warranty, etc.

Anyone have any good or bad experiences?

Mate,I'm glad their is another Aussie who thinks our prices over here are a rip off.To save nearly half the price,I hope someone does get an answer back to you about Adorama.If you get a positive response,I might look into it myself.

I've bought numerous items from B&H, Adorama, KEH and forum members, all of whom have packed the gear well, sent them via USPS First Class and arrived in the condition they were sent. Both Adorama and B&H use very swift shipping methods, and sure, you pay for it - but I believe it's worth it.

I'm in the states but I've never had a problem buying stuff from Adorama. They've always been top notch for me. I don't know how the international transit experience is though but I doubt it would be bad

Thanks for the replies. I think I've read through some of those threads already, but I was looking for info on the 60-250 specifically since it's a large lens.

I've sent an email to CRK to see if they can/will price match with Adorama on the 60-250, otherwise it seems like it's safe enough to order from them.
