Just found an offer of free 1GB SD cards

I've just come across this link while researching whether I could fix a dead Kingston 1GB SD card:

Free 1Gb SD Card : Digital Cameras, Accessories, Memory Cards, Lenses, Fast Camera Store

Looks legit, thought others might want to take them up on the offer. 1GB isn't much these days but hey, they're free...

Good luck with that. They don't have an email or a phone number, so the worst they can do is send out junk mail. As it's coming up to coal fire season we could use the paper!

I meant that the business looked legit. A store with a proper address and offices on three continents has a lot to lose if they're caught dealing in counterfeit goods.

yeah but what are they going to do with a fake name and address in New Zealand? I didn't give them dob, CC number or even an email. (how many times have you put this info into a internet browser, starting a email account, joining a forum, buying something online? Its all potentially there for the taking.)

Everyone on this forum is probably on thousands of databases all over the world. It was like that long before the internet came along, computers only made it easier.

Theres a story in the news here today that a Carpark ticketing machine in Auckland City has been hacked and anyone how has paid via credit card has had there details stolen. Your exposed to this stuff every day.
