any tips on car photography

Static car shots are pretty dated nowadays as they don't really convey the essence of speed. This is the way to go...

Twenty somthing drifters might like the highly stylized movement shots, but static shots certainly aren't dated for the folks who have the money and enthusiasm to collect and/or restore cars. One size really doesn't fit all in this case,

Wow creampuff, those shots are beautiful. Were they taken still and then blurred in Photoshop? It's beautifully sharp. Also I can never ever get the reflection to pop when shooting vehicles, is there a polarizer involved in those shots?

Go to your local bookstore and check out all the automotive periodicals. That should give you good ideas for composition and a look.

Definitely take advantage of your flashgun if you have one. It can add pop and sparkle to a car. A polarizer will help with reflections.

No Photoshop motion blur here. Shots were taken using a rig with the vehicles in motion using a slow shutter speed stopped down.
