Good bag? All the ones I see in the store suck.

I can't find a good camera bag for the life of me, it seems everyone is selling those retarded backpacks. All I want is a compact bag that can hold one camera body, 3 lenses and all my accesories including a small flash unit.

My main concerns are that most of the bags I have found don't seem to have enough padding for the lenses to accomodate a high activity photographer. What do the pro wildlife photographers use? Surely theres a carry size bag thats made to be kicked around.

Thanks!

How about this one? Not a pack. About the capacity you want.

Need to know what exactly you're trying to carry around in the bag and the conditions. I have this case: Lowepro - Inverse 100 AW

I'm satisfied that if/when I go for a tumble off the snowmobile while wearing it, the camera will be fine. I just have the little 100 model. Fits the kit lens, consumer telephoto zoom (ex. DA 55-300 or 50-200) and a normal prime or two- my typical light kit.

If you're looking for a big bag to haul your entire collection, that's a different story.

I really do appreciate the link and that bag is absolutely perfect for what I want, but 170 bucks for a nylon bag is crazy.

Are camera bags typically this expensive? I was seeing stuff in BestBuy smaller than a cell phone holder that was going for 30 bucks

I kind of like that one!

Equipment I usually carry for reference:

Various cleaning stuff.
Small Flash
K10D or P30 film body
28mm
28-80mm zoom
80-200mm zoom
A couple lens filters
Battery charger
PC transfer cord thing
...and I think thats everything.

Norazza Ape Cases are good sturdy, attractive, and relatively easy on the wallet. I've had the large bag for almost 2 years and am quite happy with it. Here are links for the small and medium versions on Amazon too.

Perfect! It looks like they sell them at WalMart too...I'm heading over there as soon as I get off work

Not sure how your Walmart trip turned out, but if you're not talking f2.8 zooms, that stuff would fit in the 200 I'm sure. I keep a lenspen, spare battery, M42 adapter and a few other odds and ends in the front zipper pocket. In the main compartment I've fit my DA 12-24 on my K10d, a 28/2.8, FA50, 18-55, and a small flash. It was a very tight fit, but the zipper closed. That's almost as much as your kit, so with your extras the larger version would be needed. Remember though, if you're talking an 80-200/2.8, that won't fit in this case by itself. When I use my Sigma 70-200/2.8, it travels in its own case because I don't have anything else that it will fit in.

Best of luck
