What happened to the New Years Honours List?

It seemed like a fun hoot-ti-do last year... nare a word mentioned this year.

Have we just grown to big? Too big for our britches? Or are we just sick of each other?

I really didn't have the time. If someone wants to start one, it's not too late.

Gus, I agree there seem to be some growing pains. It's only Jan.and you seem to posess the respect , wit and humor to pull it off. The Honours list is one of the things that demonstrates a sense of community. Can you do it?

I'd volunteer, but I'm a geek, not a cool people. Besides, I'm doing a (geeky) database project right now.

If anyone wants to PM me a few suggestions and nominations, I could get the ball rolling. To be honest though, last year was a lot easier, the community was a small town and it was easy to pick people who stood out. In a year, the forum has grown to become a small city and it's harder to pick anyone who stands out (no offense meant to anyone).

And I should have put some smileys in here - I am being sympathetic - it is always hard to manage massive success and maintain the things that caused the success in the first place.

If this is a burden - don't do it! You'll just end up burnt out like other Mods in the past and resent the Forum - which is never good.
