Flash Repair

I have a vivitar and sunpac flash that are over 20 years old that dont work.
Any way to repair these flashes?

What are the models?

It's probably easier to buy replacements on eBay.

If you they would get thrown away anyway, then just open them up and look for loose wiring specially with the battery contacts.
After loose (disconnected) wiring try to check the capacitor as it might be too old and can't hold the charge anymore.
Apart from those, I guess finding out which resistor or transistor parts are no longer working would be kinda hard for the average guy not unless you have knowlege on how to use a multimeter.
