THe CPL will definately be helpfull in that setting, so you'll probably want to keep it on for the duration of the shots in the beach ( or most outdoors with sunshine). UV only for protection, but the CPL is there so...

Pretty much everything has been covered, a good CPL and maybe an GND filter as well to keep the sky under control and to bring out more blues. Also, at the end of the day I would wipe your camera down with a damp cloth to help get a salt the will land on the body whilt your shooting.
