What is going on with the PPG?

Is it just me or is the PPG really starting to struggle with the amount of pictures on the website. When I first joined 4 years ago the website was very fast in displaying the photos is various sections. Now, you click on a photo or scroll to the next set of photos and the website is very sluggish.

So I'm curious if any other members are also experiencing this problem as well or is it just me and my out of date computer?

I don't think it's just you. The site has grown enormously and the interface simply has not kept up with the size of the collection. I believe it needs a serious redesign.

I agree, I sure hope Pentax steps up to the plate and gets the PPG back on track. It really is a great website and it would be a shame to see it fall apart.

The over-engineered Flash interface doesn't help. There are many ways of pulling up photos much quicker. I agree the site needs an overhaul.

Really, I really like the interface. It is very slick and modern and shows off the photos well.

Not sure how you can make that claim. The photos are tiny, especially the thumbnails. And no site should make you wait that long for a photo to load.

I agree with you that the thumbnails are tiny, but when you click on a picture it brings it to a pretty decent size. I also agree with you on the photo loading times, however, it used to me much quicker. Back when the website started it was a pleasure to use but recently it has become a real pain.
