Street photographer shows his prints, after 40 years

Here's a 2005 New York Times article link I saw posted elsewhere. There's more about this guy on other sites too. An interesting story I thought, not just because of the photographer himself, but also comments on his work. Also this paragraph:

He shoots in black-and-white on a Leica M3 - the same camera he has used since 1968 - and roams looking for what he described as "that right moment," when "the various visual elements come together to create a composition."

Wow, that is a beautiful quote!

I'd been trying to put into words how I approach photography; that's it! Now I've got a 'big head' thinking, there's actually hope I might actually be a photographer someday

Very much a Cartier-Bresson type comment. But then again I think all good photographers of this type would see things that way or similar.

I especially like how he uses the same old gear.
