[SOLD] Sigma 30mm F1.4 DC EX

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
Sigma 30mm F1.4 DC EX

Asking Price
$350 US -- SALE PENDING

Item Description
If you're here, you probably know about this lens. I've used it since April '07 and it's been a great lens for both indoor and outdoor shooting.
It's had a filter on the front since I got it, but unfortunately I need it for another lens so the filter is not included. I can throw in a generic one if you want.

Comes with original box, hood (just took it out of the plastic), both caps, and all documentation. 10 year Canadian warranty card is in there--not filled out or registered.

PM or post for more details, and thanks for looking!

I'll try and post some pics I took with this lens today. Thanks!

here are some pics from the yard

Took some quick snaps in the backyard today and around the house to show it at 1.4, since this is kind of the big feature of this lens. Sorry for the generic snaps, but didn't want to post pics of people without their permission, etc. and thought I'd show how the lens is performing now, rather than my best shot from last year... make sense?

I've included some 100% crops. These are Photoshop jpegs with no colour correction or anything.

I just wanted to endorse this lens before this thread is closed.

I have this lens and I can highly recommend it. The FA31 Ltd is much better, but for an inexpensive, fast, sharp lens - this is a great lens. The only problem is with the corner sharpness, otherwise it is as sharp at a tack - even wide open!

My $0.02 worth...

Thanks, Tom, I'm glad to have your feedback. I'm looking for something that I can bring on holidays and use for 'street' photography; something that is a little physically shorter than the 31ltd but that is still fast. I'm sure many people have dragged their ltd lenses around the world with them, but it makes me a little nervous. :-)

To be honest, it's tough to let it go but I got a 31 Ltd and can't justify keeping them both. I had other pics and comparison photos with the 31 Ltd, but apparently I didn't need them But one set I'll include here. Since the frame is 3 : 2, it's really only the left and right edges where it starts to deteriorate. The top and bottom are still sharp, even close to the edges. I hope Don's very happy with it. I've taken nearly all of my favourite pics with it over the last year and a half!

(the second one is a 100 % crop from the top left corner of the window--heavily compressed, but you still get a lot of detail... damn I have to paint that garage)
