Ricoh Imaging made no new announcements at Photokina 2014, but three new K-mount lenses are on the horizon.

The question I think some here will have is.. are these designed with FF view in mind.. or APS-C? Either way, I welcome new lenses into the fold.. even if they end up pricey..

So Ricoh/ Pentax show their new range of 1 series cameras developed by the fisher price unit and some cardboard labels, saying new lens coming soon... Which they've been promising for years anyway.

Think I'm jumping ship...

"Despite the lack of official news, it looks like 3 new K-mount lenses are currently under development. We expect to see prototypes on display tomorrow, but today, all we can report on for now are the corresponding labels."

Man, patience is really hard to find nowadays.

I'll be really surprised if we see any prototypes before they're announced (leaked) to the press.

Three cards with a bit of text on, come on its just pathetic, pentax might as well not bother.

Shouganai, ne? So we already have a great camera in the K3, already have a great range of lenses, and for those of us who wanted a longer zoom, or a lightweight wide-to telezoom, the roadmap is confirmed. People make unrealistic wish-lists and complain when they aren't met. Do the fans over in the Canikon camp complain as much, I wonder? Or fans of other smaller brands?

I'm not denying the 645 z and new lenses for that format aren't great.

But there is a bit of a lack of interest from Pentax for the enthusiast.

For anyone with a existing K series really apart for the K3 and the teleconverter, there's been nothing really. Some of the extg non limited lenses are starting to show there age, Pentax really needs some new non screw drive lenses.

They really need to get going on a decent mirrorless option or they'll be dead in the water, as lets face it thats the way a large sector of the market is going.

No, it's OK if he forgets...

The lack of Earth-shattering news at Photokina doesn't change the fact that my current Pentax equipment works well.
