Just got the promotional e-mail from Ricoh!!!!

Just read the press release... ouch!, that hurts (pricing) but I do know the suggested prices are around the average for such critters. It is just that we are not used to such specs and pricing.

I am guessing the body (whatever its name will be) is gonna be priced around the $2300.

If that is the scenario, then no regrets from buying a new K3 just two weeks ago... price difference take care of any possible regrets.

Given the initial spec's list from Pentaxeros.com (36Mp, etc) prob. closer to a D810 / D800e -- maybe $2,799.

So, will the 150-450 F4.5-5.6 still be able to auto focus with the Pentax 1.4 TC?

Would hope so, but the TC specs say AF needs F4.0 or brighter.

You'd normally put a TC on an f2.8 or f4 lens, Penfred, to keep the resulting aperture to f5.6.

What would you use the equivalent of 945mm at what, f8, for? I'd be quite happy with 675mm at f5.6 thanks!

Here's what I'd like to know: Is this 150-450 the same lens that we've seen on the Pentax roadmap for the past few years? Or is there some kind of DA 135-400 for APS-C still coming? Something that would be paired with the 18-135?

Both announced lenses were on the roadmap. A new roadmap will be released in a few days.
