The 18-55mm does have some near focus capabilities (just zoom to 55mm, switch camera AF/MF to MF, and focus as near as the focus ring allows, then get nearer to the subject until it becomes in focus), but of course the dedicated macros blow it away in terms of light-gathering and overall image quality. The Pentax macro primes are great deals, very fairly priced, and amazing quality! Could recommend them to anyone! They are great even for non-macro purposes. Good article!

I didn't know the PF had a series of videos. This one was good. I also watched the one on lens cleaning - very good.
