Firmware v1.10 for the Pentax K-3 II adds support for KAF4 lenses.

Always nice to see an update, but as usual disappointed at what Pentax left out - they chose not to bring the pixel shift up to k1 standard.

Unfortunately business bottom line must come 1st. The only way to get K-1 standard pixel shift is to buy a K-1 !!

I have a K-3, and we miss out on the KAF4 update.

You can apply MC to K-3 II files using PDCU 5.4 or newer, as it's just a post-processing trick.

According to an interview with Ricoh engineers Motion Correction has always been incorporated into the K3ii using the same engine as the K-1. The only difference is that you cannot disable MC through the menu on the K3ii. In practice it appears the MC in the K-1 yields better results - probably due to the differences in the sensors. pjv hit the nail on the head - if you want K-1 results use a K-1.

No discontinued body is going to get that update unfortunately. Makes sense though. They have to stop the updates somewhere.

K-S1 has also been announced discontinued.... please update

... and also remember RI's declarations that "K-3II wasn't gonna replace K-3"...

Update completed on my K-3II...

Woohoo!! Finally I can take advantage of the new DA55-300 f/4.5-6.3. Photographic stardom now well within my grasp!
