went to it, no problem, click support, no problem, clicked down loads, no problem, clicked on operating manuals, PROBLEM, complete dead end

more than half of the required boxes on the contact us for help won't let me enter any information so it is impossible to request help.

any one knows if there is an operating manual on the SMC Pentax D FA 1:28 100 mm MACR0 that I can either read on line or down load????

Just picked up one from Forum member AMP (thanks) and I am looking for info

I'm not sure if Pentax has ever issued a user manual for an individual lens. They usually issue one manual for a whole series of lenses, e.g., the SMC-M series or the D FA series.

I've since discovered PDFs of operating manuals of three individual Pentax lenses on the Ricoh Imaging Canada Inc. website:

• SMC-K Shift 28mm f/3.5
• FA 28-200mm f/3.8-5.6 AL IF
• 6x7 90mm f/2.8 Leaf Shutter Lens

The only other operating manuals for lenses on that site are for groups of lenses:

• SMC-K series in general
• SMC-K series extreme telephotos: 500mm f/4.5, 1000mm f/8, Reflex 1000mm f/11, Reflex 200mm f/13.5, and 135-600mm f/6.7
• SMC-A* extreme telephotos: 300mm f/2.8, 400mm f/2.8, 600mm f/5.6, and 1200mm f/8

At that site there also are manuals for an eclectic selection of discontinued accessories, as well as many discontinued camera bodies and point-and-shoot cameras.

Many of those PDFs look like scans of bad photocopies, so they're not pretty.

Yes, I wish the Canadian site had better scans of the manuals. A few I haven't been able to find on other sources like manualslib, buttkus, or pentax-manuals
