What are we to make of the mysterious, beguiling Pentax KP?

If I had to hazard a guess I'd say Photographs.

When my parent's generation served in the military during WWII, "KP" was a punishment inflicted on trainees who broke rules or didn't measure up. They'd laugh at something being named the "KP."

16-85 and 55-300 = WR travel kit. Add DA*55 for low light and portraits.

Sadly - unless I have read the press release incorrectly - the KP only has the same sequential stop action 4K "video" that the K-1 has.

I have to say RH has been remarkably non-critical about new Pentax products, that asbestos cork certainly did the trick.
