Pentax K-3 III v1.50, K-1 II v1.40, K-1 v1.70 Firmware Update Released

New firmware updates have been released for the Pentax K-3 III (v. 1.50), K-1 (v. 1.70), and K-1 II (v. 1.40)

If you don't have any of these newest lenses, is there any point to this update?
I have a DA15mm, and a DA 35Macro, but they are older green band lenses, not HD.
One of the Pentax selling points has been the ability of newer bodies to use a wide range of legacy lenses and accessories.
While I understand they need to sell new lenses, seems like they are cutting themselves short by being this limiting.

The update info for the K3iii claims that it also improves stability and performance. The K1 and K1ii pages don't make the same claim.

Given that the K3iii autofocus performance has reportedly been improving with each update, I would say that anyone with a K3iii may well want to install the new firmware to take advantage. Users of the K1 models are probably more likely to consider this one optional if they don't think they will make use of the new JPEG profile.

I always update asap. More conservative would be to wait a few weeks for any issues to come up. Honestly I don't really trust the K-1 firmware to be custom image only. They are so tight lipped about changes and seem to prefer not to communicate about them. Some general performance improvements could well be hidden in there.
