Another shot for critique. Converted to black and white with GIMP. Once again my son is the subject, as always comments/criticism and tips are greatly welcomed.

Great lightning overall, but that all-white corner on the right is very distracting. I think you'll either want to clone it out, or re-shoot.

I am going to be honest Adam, I hadn't noticed the corner until I viewed my original post. Will give it a go cloning it out using the patch tool in PS and see what result I get.

Have tried cloning out the white section. Also changed the tones slightly. Let me know what yous think.

I like the tone in the first picure as it is much softer suiting the subject of a young child where as the second picture the tone is a bit harsh but I do like the fact there is no white corner in the second picture. All up a great picture

The first one is better from a technical stand point. I think if you had the shot again I would try to bring out a little more detail in the top left. That being said, I think I like the high contrast second attempt better. It is very film noir. As a boy sleeps soundly in his room evil quietly lurks in the shadows. Very dramatic. It is perfectly imperfect. The cloning Adams suggested helped out immensely. I like how the boards lead you right back the boy. I love it ! IT IS OKAY TO BE ARTISTIC, not everything has to be a perfect exposure.
