Good attempts here.
I do know the 55-300 can produce better results than this, however the hummingbird is a difficult subject for the lens to capture well. A faster, not necessarily longer, lens would be required.
In any case, you've managed to focus and frame the shots OK, but they do suffer from flat lighting and ordinary backgrounds and foreground matter. The colours could well be improved also.

I know its counter-intuitive, but try setting lower flash powers for better stop-motion. The lower the flash power the shorter the duration of the flash.
