I this the PP'd version is a bit too hot- all I would do in the original is some small shadows correction, smart sharpen, and a little saturation. The bright background is too distracting, IMO.

I'd cut off the left third of the image. It's open space that isn't doing anything for the shot. In both versions, the sky is featureless.

A tighter composition would focus on the leaf, and put it to the left of center, and you'd have the empty space between the leaf and the tree.
