Kind of odd. She has a really large hand, but seems to be looking off somewhere.

feels contrived
no one reads the menu like that- you must have said to her 'hold the menu like this'

I know i'm very much an advocate of 'manipulating the scene', but there's a balance, everyone knows what it's like to read a menu, so everyone knows this is contrived

depth of field is too thin too, not thin enough to be interesting, but not deep enough to revel what's going on

Although the scene is very much posed I actually like the extreme perspective.

Interesting.

And I like the title.

Part of the problem, as SpecialK noted, is that she isn't looking toward the menu.

The water glass at lower right and the tiny circles immediately below her hand might be removed if you reshoot this scene. Or, with this image, try cropping just below the pinkie of her hand which holds the menu, and remove the remaining small tiny circles.

Perhaps, with the model's permission, the restaurant would use this image — for display and/or in advertising. Perhaps you'd be able to sell the restaurant other images of customers (having obtained their signed model releases) and perhaps also images of employees.

based on the panels on the wall (the 'strips') one could tell that the shot is taken at around the eye-level of the lady in the picture. the camera is tilted slightly downwards to achieve this shot. however the photo seems to have ended 'abruptly'. => cropped

you arms are probably resting on the table-edge?

maybe you can try taking this picture in the orientation of "portrait" rather than "landscape" to achieve what you wanted? seems that you are trying to show something...

have fun!
