Strobe experiment with fast aparture lens to get sharp details in a portrait

I love the composition, the shot is very good and original appearing.....I would just like to see a "softer" looking girl. Not as in "out of focus", but as in softer skin tones and a less harsh appearance. Maybe it wouldn't be as good...but I would like to see it anyhow. Nice work!
