Ivinghoe outing
Lens: dal 18 -55 Camera: k-x Photo Location: Ivinghoe ISO: 200 Aperture: F8

Took the camera up to ivinghoe and took a few shots and these were the best of the bunch.

Would appreciate some of you to run your eye over them and point out what needs improvement and how badly

Oh all shots were taken in AV mode

Colors and bokeh look good in all of these, and I think the main issue lies in composition. All of the shots seem busy to me, with many distracting elements apart from the subject. The first comes closes to a good shot; perhaps a crop abiding by the rule of thirds would do it good. The second also has potential, especially if you tried making a vertical out of the part with the bumblebee. The third shot seems to be a lost cause to me.

In any case, I'm looking forward to seeing some edits and more shots

Thanks for your input Adam i will take that on board and try to re crop the first 2 images.

With the first image you say to use the rule of thirds for this and maybe it's just me being new but i thought i had with the sky taking up the top third or do you mean to have the plant more over to the left or the right
