Lens: Pentax-M 50mm f1.7 Camera: Kx Photo Location: New Hamburg, On ISO: 800 Shutter Speed: 3s

This is my first real attempt at focus stacking. Shot all 5 frames in the stack using my 50mm reversed on Pentax-K auto bellows extended to give 3x magnification. Unfortunately I forget where my aperture was set, likely around f11-f16, possibly f8 if it was bright day.

The subject is purposefully shot on an angle to convey a sense of motion, liveliness and realism. Given that this was shot in my "studio" (aka dining room) with a frozen specimen, I felt it was necessary to impart some life back into the picture.

Looks like the full image requires a login.

I can't tell must from the size that's currently posted, but if that's 3x magnification, then wow- that's definitely some nice sharpness (plus you can't tell that it's not the original photo).

Thanks. The post-stack pre-touchup image had lots of artifacts. This image is the result of 2hours of touch up work, pulling in specific areas from specific frames in the stack.

here's a link (that works) to a re-sized image: re-sized image
