Nice shot. I love the B&W. Wow ISO 12800, really! It looks like window side lighting. Or perhaps a candle?

OT: I have to plead ignorance. I had never heard of Ekaterinburg. Fortunately, I do know how to use Google. Looks like a beautiful city. Please post some shots of your part of the world.

MSM:

This was not a "premeditated" shot. She was working on the computer, I called out to her, she turned, I took the shot. The face is lit by the desk lamp.

Ekaterinburg is here:

Works for me! Nice "surprise" capture......the ISO is impressive too! Your shot inspires me to post one I took a while back of Mrs Rupert....I'll post it and let you see what you think?
Regards!

Nice high ISO result Mikhail.
The incidental soft lighting is OK, clearly not studio-quality being a serendipitous capture, but good for what it is.
The grain works well in this conversion and she's posed in an engaging way.
Nicely done.

Very nice for a quick capture. Lovely smile and the grain is appealing.

By the way, it made a very nice print at 20*30cm (8*12 inch). I am still no good at adapting photos which make good prints at 20*30 or 30*45 to 600*900 pixel screen posts.

Aside from some tiny distractions in the bottom of the frame, it's a very nice portrait and mood.
