What effect do you like the best? Tone mapping (like Topaz Adjust) can be hard on skin tones but works great for scenics. What more important?

I did use Topaz for the last 3 but with the first i just boosted the color on ACDSee pro3 , it's MY favorite , just wondering what others think

The first is best to my eyes...the last is second, more natural looking seem best to me most of the time. Nice shot BTW, I like it!

When you say the first you mean the original or number 1 ?

I'm all for overprocessing when it works, but the tone mapping really doesn't work for me at all. #1 looks good, but it's pushed just a bit too far for me

I think the original works best. Next best would be #1 but to my eye it 'goes too far', maybe somewhere in between.

The original...it looks the best to me, more natural, but the others might do well for some purposes, depending on your objective.

Of the choices given, I'd go with the original. However, if it were my pic, I'd still mess with it. Just not in the manner represented by the examples.



Not a huge change, a little sharpening, a little local contrast enhancement, a little bit stronger blues and greens.
