100mm Macro WR star burst test
Lens: Pentax DFA 100mm Macro WR Camera: K-x ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 3s Aperture: F8

I was always wanted to test the star burst effect of the DFA 100 Macro WR, thanks to Nicole's tripod, I know now

Nice.

It's my understanding that the more you close the aperture, the more starburst effect you get. Others here may be able to shed more light on this idea, though.

I would try iso400 and f16 to see if there is a difference in the star burst effect. That reminds me of Sidney harbour, isn't it?

That's gorgeous Eric! I'm planning on going back in on Sunday afternoon/evening, if you want to try again.

Not much to critique on here, but definitely stop down for a more obvious starburst.
Good colour rendition here too.

With the rounded blades, I wonder how much more starburst we will see as this lens is stopped down...
