Forest Bug
Lens: MF Tamron SP 90mm f2.5 Camera: K200D Photo Location: house ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/180s Aperture: F11

I was surprised by this Forest Bug landing on my head, and gently brushed him off and ran for the camera kit. No time for tripods or dedicated flash units, unfortunately

If you look closely you can see his rather long tongue

You've got a decently sharp macro there, but be weary of the effect lighting has on your macros - lots of overpowering lights certainly lights up your high DoF shots well, but leaves your image looking lifeless despite such high and harsh contrast and lacking texture. Getting down to face level of the insect like #1 usually gives the best perspective, but watch your arrangement of the insect in the frame.

You found yourself a Stink Bug, and one of the more colorful ones:

Genus Euschistus - BugGuide.Net

Probably in the genus Euschistus.

Jolis macros, je trouve la lumière un peu dure ce qui écrase les contrastes surtout sur la première vue, les détails sont mieux rendus sur la deuxième mais le cadrage est moins bon.

I hear there is an infestation of these in certain parts right now.....swarms of billions of them! Your shots are nice Specimen shots, which is about all I ever hope for in insect shots. The second is a little bright, but the first is just right. You know they can cause you a nasty burn/blister? I've had many from them as a kid......and of course, they stink!
Best Regards!
Here is a "Texas Model" ....I remember almost putting my arm down on him in this deck chair.
