Other than a slight canting of the horizon line to the right, this is a sublime image.

Agreed. Makes me wish I was the one behind the camera, while at the same time, making me feel as though I am in the kayak.

Thanks for the comments, in regards to the horizion, I did an adjustment and have reposted the picture. It was quite the challenge to keep the kayak level for the shot.

I really like the photo. Like what was mentioned before, makes me want to be the one sitting in the kayak. How did you get such a sharp image at 1/10 second on a kayak? That's pretty impressive!

And at 105mm, to get that amount of foreground wouldn't you have to have been off the kayak altogether?

Looks great now. I am the type of guy that nobody wants around because I am always straightening their pictures on the wall. I have a problem with crooked horizons.

Yeah me too. It's the thing I look at most even before looking at the subject.

Wonderful shot in every way.

It was by pure luck and multiple shots. Paddle, glide, shoot and check it later. Thanks for the comment.

I'm sorry for the confusion on the focal length of the lens. I used the FA 28-105 and it was shot at 28mm, f9, ISO 100, shutter speed 1/10. Thanks for the comment.

Hey jbinpg,
You must be a very level headed guy. Honestly your observation made a difference.

Thanks, Joe
