The crop does make the picture better, I would recommend you to crop it a bit more.

The crop works for me, I find the power pole in the original way too much of a distraction from the plane. Nice shot!

I think cropped version is better. Much cleaner,

I much prefer the crop but I'd increase the contrast. I find the grey of the sky to be too muddy.

I like the 2nd one better... I know most photographers frown on clutter (less is more right?), but those lines dont make since to me in the 1st shot... the second one gives it more substance.

If you just shot the plane without anything in the forground it would just be a boring plane, so in this case I glad for the "clutter"
