Do you already have a Christmas tree put up or are those some other decorations on a plant or something?

RE your photo.. I guess the lighting is ok though I would bring up the exposure some. As for the general photo, too busy with the surroundings but that wasn't your question, was it?

You mean its better that i would set aside some of the surroundings like the chair and plant on the right?

To Me, if you're going to take a photo of a person, s/he should stand out in the photo. The fact that I noticed the Christmas ornaments before noticing your friend (brother, cousin, son, whoever he is) tells me something about the photo. I'm led around the room from there by the curtains and other nic-naks on the wall until I reach the purple pillow in the left center of the photo. Only then do I notice a person holding it. If the lighting were such that HE were highlighted instead of just blending in, I might see it differently. But, maybe it's just me who sees it that way. I'm no expert on giving critique.

Thanks for the idea. I have to learn how to focus the lights on the subject next time.
Im using a shoot through umbrella about 5-6ft and the other a diffuser.

I'm no expert on lighting, but I like that part of your photo.
I also like the colorful environmental nature of the photo, except for the Christmas tree and the telephone. (If you moved the camera to the left or moved the subject to the left, I think you'd reduce or eliminate the distractions of the Christmas tree and the telephone.)
I'm not sure you focused on the eyes, which is where I'd focus for most portraits.
Is that a remote shutter release in the subject's hand? (Perhaps this is a self-portrait.)
Respectfully,
Stu

I like the colors very much, but I think the photo is crooked.
Makes me feel like everything's falling to the right.

Other than that, perhaps the subject doesn't look very comfortable in what ought to be a very comfortable chair.

Thats not a remote on his hand. I took the picture. Thanks for the appreciation and suggestion.

Well, the two flashes worked out nicely, I think.

Falling to the right? Well, you see how the dark edge of the ceiling is tilted downwards to the right? That's the biggest giveaway that the picture it tilted.
The stuff on the wall also looks a bit tilted, and the posture of the subject looks as if he's bracing the chair with his legs. You see it?
