Yes... if you do some extreme pixel peeping, you'll find noise but I'm still quite impressed with the K5..

The floor in the background looks as if fast film was used, which is actually quite pleasing :-)

I like the subtleties in this shot. The grey hair round the muzzle tells me the pup's getting on a bit (somewhat like myself...), the mud on the nose tells me "I love digging," the shiny coat says "my master loves me and takes good care of me." It's a nice little story shot.
Personally, I'd take out the chair. It doesn't add any thing to the composition. And I wonder if you could bring out just a touch of the left eye - the face feels a wee bit unbalanced.

I might find a few problems with it....but since there is no such thing as a bad Doggie shot, it would be Blasphemy if I did! Good looking Doggie!
Best Regards!

His nose is about 18 inches from the front of the lens. I'm sitting in a chair and he is between two tables (that's a table in the corner, not a chair). The look on his face is "get your damn picture already and leave me alone". No tripod used.

Stick around awhile. He appears all over the internet when I'm posting in more than one place.

LOL! He sounds like Rocco.
And I don't mind seeing nice doggies, better than all those stinky macro flies

I can see some noise in the bokeh of the rug without pixel peeping, but it is impressive for 5000 ISO nontheless. Under such conditions, my K20D wouldn't have done better at 800.
Can anyone loan me $1,500?
