A nice study in patterns and lines.
There's something about the B&W version that makes the theme stand out more, particularly the glistening sparkles all around the place, but the dynamism of the oblique angles in the colour version strike me more.

The artistic filter and HDR effect applied to the colour version does alter the image to the point of being somewhat unnatural, but not so much in the B&W version. Either a crop to the B&W version or some diagonal lines framed in the image would make me look even deeper into the image.

Thanks Ash, this in great part confirms what I've been thinking. I like the orientation of the color version and the finish of the black and white version. I appreciate your input. There is not so much an artistic filter her as there is noise suppression. The HDR effect is more a matter of local contrast applied throughout since without it, the whole thing rather flattens out and has no depth or interest.

Thanks again.
