The first works well for me as a portrait, but the other two not as much. These scans look quite good IQ-wise, though, and I think that the BW tones are great.

Make sure you take care of the edges here, as they're a bit ugly.

What was the film?

I enjoy the first one... just so odd... the pigeon toes, the branch... the second one seems a little blown to me... makes the kid look a little puffy in the face, doesn't tell me a story...

as to the thrid one... way place him on the right? the sidewalk on the left doesn't do anything for me... I would have liked to see his face or what he was looking at...

Frame 2 works well for me as a portrait, the others not as well.

In frame 2, I like the facial expression, the hair and the bottom of the board. I consider it to be a memorable image. Please forgive me for saying that while considerable time and thought might have gone into frames 1 and 3, they look to me like snapshots -- not well-captured moments in time, but snapshots or, in the case of frame 1, a stiff portrait. Perhaps frame 1 captures an interesting story or anecdote, however.

Although I don't particularly care about skateboarding or skateboarders, I think you have the start of a very interesting presentation on young boarders. I'd enjoy seeing an exhibit -- perhaps with brief biographical info about the boarders and comments from they about what they most enjoy aboard boarding. Perhaps you'd enjoy self-publishing such a book, with appropriate permissions from boarders' parents or other legal guardians.

All best,
Stu

The first one is great, very quirky. Love the branch and his feet. Has that Life magazine feeling
