Nice colors here loule. Is that ice I'm seeing on the bottom left of the flower near the stem?

Interesting.

Where do the colors come from?

A "Ring Light" that slips over the lens and is circular provides even light and/or flash for close-ups like this. They can be found at various prices on the net. Otherwise a simple white piece of stiff paper board can be held or mounted on a tripod or stick to either put the whole flower in shadow or light. That will avoid the flare on the right tips of the petals and lighten the center. Appears you have used "average" metering.

So close! The colors are great, but the out of focus petals blocking the center of the flower (the anther and stigma of the flower) are a distraction. The exposure is right on. It would have been real easy to blow out the highlights on the back petals.

Pretty decent result and as mentioned focus could have been improved with more DoF and highlights better controlled. The colours do look manipulated, but with less obvious alterations this shot may be quite attractive.
