Bokeh is used to blur the background and thus accentuate the object in focus. That is the object within the depth of field. A len's Bokeh (the part outside the depth of field) is better the more it blurs and the better the color rendition. That is the more pleasing to the eye the photo is, the better the bokeh. The word is Japanese for "blur". The technique has been used forever but it was only given that name about the 1980's. Usually the better the glass and the higher the number of shutter blades the better the effect. The higher number of blades (e. g. 10+) the more the aperture (hole) appears round (and therefore softer and more pleasing, rather than polygonal (hard) and the more pleasing the bokeh. The bridge does not appear to be a good subject with which to test the bokeh. How is this for a "Quick Reply"!

yeah what do you want us to say

it's less of an experiment in bokeh, and more just an out of focus picture of a bridge

it would work better with a subject in the foreground and the bridge in the background becomming the bokeh- the subject isn't strong enough to make the image interesting

also shoot your bokeh shots with the lens wide open

have a read through the 'bokeh masters' thread, https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-slr-lens-discussion/31244-bokeh-ma...stions-18.html

First image, colors are interesting and the composition also. If you live near the old Sacramento bridge, you could keep experimenting with different choices on focal planes. For instance, I would like to see this shot with the bridge detail in focus and the small yellow lights more blurred. Just a though.
